What work will you be showing at the Vienna Showcase Art Fair?
I selected two pieces from my most important series of artwork, “Bonjour Bonheur” and “But Still You Stand against it?”
What would you like the Austrian Art Collectors to know about your work, what feeling would you like to give them with your artwork?
I hope people will feel “Happiness” via smiling faces and perceive “Hope and Ease” which lay behind angry or sad expressions.
What is your work or your style or yourself famous for?
I’m rated high as a world-wide artist who expresses inner essence and joy of the child inside with vibrant colours and impressive visual vocabulary.
Have you been to Vienna before? What did you think of it? Or if not, what are you looking forward to? This will be my first visit to Vienna. I can hardly wait to see Gustav Klimt’s original paintings.
What is your favourite or most inspirational place?
My studio located in Lake Yamanaka is my favourite and most inspirational place. It’s built in the midst of the forest and has a magnificent and panoramic view of Mt. Fuji.
What message do you want to send out with your art, or with your vision…
Main theme of my artwork is, “All for Happy!” I believe true happiness lay beyond sad and hard experiences of life. I’d like to encourage viewers to feel hope and ease through children’s challenging expressions.
What has been your biggest achievement so far, art related or personal. I succeeded to hold my 10th anniversary exhibition this year. I gather more than 10,000 visitors every year and moreover I’ m currently developing my chance to exhibit widely both nationally and internationally in venues as diverse as Europe, Asia and USA. People’s praises give me an incentive to greater effort.
